Abstract

A case study of a 34-year-old African-American woman with a 10-year history of sarcoid and suffering from a persistent abdominal pain. Computerized tomography at 7 months before presentation showed a complex cystic lesion of the left kidney of undetermined significance. A physical examination showed significant abdominal tenderness, with no masses palpated. Sarcoidosis should be considered in the differential diagnosis of a renal mass in a patient.
