Abstract
- This article looks at why the market for health care in the United States is distorted and how that makes the system inefficient. The author presents information on three efforts to describe, quantify and offer solutions to market distortions in health care but says the problem may be without a solution. He suggests that it may not be possible to please all the people some of the time no matter how noble the intent.
