- The article reports on an increase in the companies in Japan, including Hino Motors Ltd. and Canon Inc., that are hiring temporary part time workers to save money. A discussion of the negative impact the increase is having on Japan's economy due to the fact that temporary workers earn and spend less, and of the impact it is having on the Nikkei Stock Average, is presented.
