Abstract

The article discusses a court case wherein the plaintiff Stacy Johnson-Klein, a former women's basketball coach at California State University at Fresno, was awarded $19.1 million after suing the university for sexual discrimination. Johnson-Klein accused the university of firing her when she acted as an advocate for women's rights. The California State University system argues that Johnson-Klein was terminated after she was found to be verbally abusive to her players.
