Abstract

The article focuses on a growing social trend in India. Thanks to the country's increased prosperity, many persons are purchasing automobiles without knowing how to drive. Traffic in major cities is chaotic, with roads full of obstacles ranging from other automobiles to farm animals. A driving instructor in New Delhi, who said he was teaching a dozen pupils each day, said the traffic caused him to commute to work by motorcycle rather than an automobile.
