Abstract
- The article discusses a passage from the Old English poem "Exodus," which focuses on the crossing of the Red Sea by the Israelites. The author refutes scholarly analysis of the term "læste," defining the word as "performance." He also discusses the following term in the phrase, "nēar," which is generally used as an adverb. The author offers an alternative translation to the examined passage.
