Abstract
- Abstract: Three-dimensional (3D) flower-like ZnSe microstructures with six petals in excellent symmetry have been successfully prepared by a simple solvothermal route using diethanolamine to control the morphology, and characterized by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), energy dispersive spectrum (EDS) and UV–VIS. The formation processes were discussed and confirmed by carrying out a series of controllable synthesis. It was found that diethanolamine played an important role in the formation of such 3D novel structures. By controlling synthetic parameters, different 3D morphologies of ZnSe were obtained. This convenient method may be applicable to prepare other chalcogenide semiconductors with the 3D morphologies. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
