Abstract
- The article focuses on discussions which are being held by the board of directors of the French bank Société Générale. The discussions are being held to determine whether the bank's chairman and co- chief executive Daniel Bouton will be asked to leave. The discussions were the result of a $7.2 billion trading loss the bank suffered as the result of fraudulent trades which were conducted by Jérôme Kerviel, a stock futures trader.
