Abstract
- The article looks into the effort of John Stewart, chief executive officer of National Australia Bank Ltd. (NAB), to guide the bank to recovery. When he took over the bank as chief executive, it faced disasters like the $360 million currency trading scam and the $4 billion writedown of its mortgage business in the U.S. Stewart's priority is to uplift the morale of the bank's employees. Then, he focused on the turnaround strategy of the bank.
