Abstract
- The article discusses the U.S. housing crisis and the advertising campaign undertaken by the National Association of Realtors (NAR) designed to convince consumers that this is a profitable time to buy a house. Frank Sibley, vice-president of NAR, says that the $40 million advertising campaign is trying to defy the negative media coverage of the subprime mortgage crisis in order to influence persons considering home buying as an investment.
