Abstract
- A literary criticism of the novel "Giovanni's Room" by James Baldwin is presented. It compares how Baldwin represents intersections between underground queer culture and the culture of the American Express. The author highlights Baldwin's interest in the mobility of both groups. Baldwin's essays "Notes on a House of Bondage" and "The Male Prison" are also referenced.
