The author reflects on the issue whether the General Practitioners Committee's (GPC's) warning that GPs could resign as group from the National Health Service (NHS) will be a serious threat. This shows that degree to which the GPC feels supported into a corner. The suspicion that the Government may come back with another proposals. It is argued that the GPs will need an assurance that gun-barrel tactics can never be used again if they consider voting for the Government deal.
