Abstract

The article presents information on the conservative ideas of Ed Gillespie, counselor to U.S. President George W. Bush. It informs that Gillespie has led Bush to threaten to veto the huge package of spending bills put forward by the Democrats. It is stated that as adviser to the president, Gillespie is trying to write a narrative for Bush that portrays him as a fiscal conservative, widening the gap between him and the Democrats.
