FMC DEFENDS CARBOFURAN.

The article reports that FMC Corp. and some farm-state members of Congress are urging the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to reconsider its decision to cancel all uses of agricultural pesticide carbofuran. Legislators from agricultural states also called on the EPA to take into account the needs of farmers who say there are no cost-effective substitutes for carbofuran for some critical uses.
