Abstract
- The article focuses on the significance of libraries to library users. Early positive memories, and occasional negative experiences, shape people's lifelong relationship with libraries and library staff. People find that libraries provide a continuum for lifelong use that is unique in our society. And although public, school, academic, and special libraries operate independently, they have created an interdependent and interconnected network of resources and staff that influence people in countless ways throughout their lifetimes.
