JOERGENSENIA, A NEW GENUS TO ACCOMMODATE PSOROMA CEPHALODINUM AND PHYLOGENETIC RELATIONSHIPS OF THE GENUS PSOROMA (LICHENIZED ASCOMYCETES).

The article discusses a study that presents a revised taxonomy of the genus Pannaria and the evolutionary relationships of the genus Psoroma. The study aims to look for phylogenetic evidences to explain the classification of Psoroma. The method used in the study was presented which involved extracting total DNA to 20 collections of Psoroma and Pannaria. This resulted in five equally parsimonious trees.
