This paper presents some of the ideas from Gianni Vattimo's book "Ecce Comu." What many people have viewed as a radicalization toward the left in the ethical-political reflection of this Italian thinker is not only a discourse that seeks to develop in a crisis situation like the present, the consequences of the close ties among philosophy, politics and religion, which in the 50s, represented Vattimo's primary concern. Finally, reasons are reconstructed by means of which a post-metaphysical philosophy could justify the idea according to which rediscovery of a communism liberated from the dogma of objectivity and development might be the best alternative for opposing capitalism in the current conditions of late modernity.
