Abstract
- The article reports on the resignation of Nicholas Burns from his position as the U.S. Secretary of State for political affairs effective in March 2008. Burns will be replaced by William Burns, the ambassador of the U.S. to Russia. Also cited are background information on the two Burns and the issues' implications for American politics and government.
