Abstract
- The article presents news and views from the Irrigation Association (IA). There has been a growth in public concerns about food safety due to recalls of lettuce and leafy green vegetables. The main problem associated with the public concerns on food safety in the U.S. was exposure to animal waste. The implementation of the strategic plan developed by the IA in 2007 is cited a the primary goal for association president Doug York.
