This paper focuses on most prominent issues of refugee law, one of the most important areas of legal practice today. The authors have completed an analysis of the relevant elements of the refugee law, such as the principle of non-refoulemet, statutory refugees, war refugees and other with a special focus on Croatia. Last part of the paper gives a glance over the selected practice of the European Court for Human Rights and a comparative display of examples for a wider perspective on the analyzed principles.
