Abstract
- The article reports that the percentage of students in British all-girls schools who engage in two or more hours of physical education or school sports activity a week is 25 percent below the national average. Margaret Talbot of the British Association for Physical Education connects the disparity to a lack of female sports coaches. Recommendations that more emphasis be put on integrating sports that appeal to women such as dance, yoga, and badminton into school curricula are offered. INSET: We like yoga, dance, gym and keep fit.
