A distraught man held a pellet pistol to the head of a student on City College's campus in Harlem and threatened to shoot her and himself on Wednesday before the police persuaded him to drop the gun, the authorities said. No one was injured in the confrontation about 2:45 p.m. in the college's financial aid office, the police said.
