Abstract
- The article focuses on the laws in library science, highlighting the 1931 book "The Five Laws of Library Science," by S. R. Ranganathan. She proposes that librarians to broaden their outlook on library science and notes that doing little editing to Ranganathan's laws could help rethink the mission of librarians. She then discusses the importance of media as libraries grow to encompass the expanded knowledge. Moreover, she opines that school libraries would be foolish to not embrace media for student use, despite its evidence of efficient and effective mediated learning.
