Advocacy Adds Value.

The author offers his views on how the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) has responded to the evolving global responsibilities of its membership. The organization's purpose, vision mission statements, and corresponding strategic goals have changed. Members have seen opportunities to become a global champion of the safety, health and environmental (SH&E) professional. ASSE has invested resources in advocacy work and has reached out to many important stakeholders.
