Abstract
- The article discusses the industrial impact of the rising prices for sulfuric acid in the U.S. According to the author, U.S. phosphate fertilizer producers account for fully 60% of U.S. sulfuric acid consumption. Rohm and Haas said that widespread switching away from sulfuric acid would result in a lot of research and development (R&D) and reengineering. Norfalco calls ethanol the fastest growing U.S. outlet for sulfuric acid.
