The title compound, [Co(C2H3O2)2(C12H8N2)]n, is a polymeric complex involving bridging of CoII ions by single syn-anti acetate ligands. Each Co atom is five-coordinated by two 1,10-phenanthroline N atoms and three O atoms of acetate ligands within a bipyramidal coordination geometry.
