Abstract

This article discusses efforts by Japanese Americans to preserve the Japanese Internment Camps located in the Western U.S. during the Second World War. It summarizes the history of the camps, noting the ethical judgments passed on their practices. It also describes efforts by the National Park Service to preserve the archeological integrity of and establish historic sites among the remains of these camps.
