Characteristics of the clinical practice patterns of hemodialysis in Japan in consideration of DOPPS and the NKF/DOQI guidelines.

The article examines the characteristics of clinical practice patterns of hemodialysis in consideration of the Dialysis Outcomes and Practice Patterns Study (DOPPS) in Japan. It highlights numerous core subjects including hemodialysis practice adequacy, management of blood pressure as legislated under DOPPS. Hence, DOPPs investigated a large number of practice patterns to recognize new evidence for modifiable treatment factors that are linked with improved outcomes.
