Abstract
- The article examines research done by a small group of zoologists on the behavior of stray dogs in Moscow, Russia. The city has long had a significant population of stray dogs, and the dogs are adapting rapidly to Moscow's changing economic and social conditions. Increased prosperity and social freedom for humans has led the dogs to congregate where people do, in places such as subway stations and near the city's many outdoor fast-food kiosks.
