Abstract

The article presents an interview with Vint Cerf, who write a 1974 paper with Robert Kahn that proposed a new networking standard, Transfer Control Protocol or TCP. Both received the highest civilian honor in the U.S. in 2005, the Presidential Medal of Freedom for their work on Internet software code. Details about the life story, career and achievements of Cerf are cited.
