Abstract: The article discusses two lawsuits alleging violation of provisions of the U.S. Americans With Disabilities Act that safeguard the jobs of those who provide care to disabled persons. In both instances the plaintiffs maintain they were fired due to their association with a disabled relative. The number of such cases could rise substantially if the allegations are proven.
