Abstract

The article reports on results of a study of the frequency of and trends in abnormal Pap test results in women with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and HIV-uninfected women. A description of the study design and methods is presented. The study concluded that among women with HIV in a cervical cancer prevention program, Pap test abnormalities are common. However, high-grade abnormalities are infrequent.
