Proposal for Fellowship Training in Pediatric Global Health.

The author reflects on the declining developments in pediatric health. He reveals that the decline in child mortality rates has slowed. Moreover, previous success of community-based child health initiatives has been eroded by HIV/AIDS incidence, conflict and poverty. He also reveals that nearly 10 million children under age 5 are dying each year. He proposes establishing fellowship training in pediatric global health. Areas of competency that should be developed in the training are discussed.
