This article focuses on the challenges that will confront either U.S. Senator Barack Obama or Senator John McCain as he becomes President in January, 2009. Struggles will include dealing with perceived nuclear threats from Iran President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Korean leader of the Democratic People's Republic Kim Jong Il, concern that Sunni Islamic terrorist organization Al Quaeda remains capable and posed to attack, and rebuilding a diminishing perception of the U.S. abroad.
