Abstract

The article offers clinical information on two less well-known medical conditions, namely hyperventilation and Pitt-Hopkins syndrome (PTHS). Hyperventilation refers to an increase in respiratory minute volume beyond the normal, which can either be caused by physiological or metabolic changes. While PTHS is a condition characterized by severe learning disability, episodic hyperventilation with apnea and short stature.
