Abstract

The article offers information on the establishment of the Hillingdon Public Library Service in London, England. It is stated that after the opening of the library, it consistently presents a 70% increase in book issues and 80% rise in library visits. It is averred that the public now have what they have been asking for, such as long opening hours, better book collections and smart and clean environment. It is inferred that a public library is the easiest kind of retailing where the product is known and there is no concern about cash.
