Abstract
- The article presents a code of ethics for librarians that was approved at the third Leipzig Congress for Information and Libraries in March 2007. The "Ethischen Grundsätze der Bibliotheks- und Informationsberufe" ("Ethical Bases of Library and Information Occupations") developed by the Bibliothek & Information Deutschland (BID - Library and Information Germany) is similar to such codes in forty other countries.
