Abstract
- The article presents an overview of the impact increased costs in Great Britain's National Health Service (NHS) have had on the service's budget and on medical care in the country. A discussion of the impact patient demands and budget constraints may have on the service and on the comprehensiveness of medical care in Great Britain is presented. Different treatments, including alternative treatments, unproven treatments and lifestyle support programs, which may be implemented in the NHS in the future, are discussed.
