Abstract

When John Hoeffner, an accountant, filed papers to incorporate a company called Mr. John, he had no plans to specialize in the portable toilet business, prosecutors said on Wednesday. Instead, the fictitious company was part of Mr. Hoeffner's plan to embezzle millions of dollars from his employer, Tishman Construction, according to the Manhattan district attorney's office.
