Abstract

The article describes the life of Benedict Arnold, famous for betraying the United States during the American Revolution. He grew jealous because other military officers were promoted for military victories that he had won. When he was put in command of West Point, he sold it to British Major John André, who was captured and hanged. Arnold escaped to England.
