The article discusses activities and news relating to canon law and the Holy See that took place in 2007. On January 27th, Pope Benedict XVI discussed the role of truth as a point of convergence between the investigation process and pastoral service. The suspension and laicization of Monsignor Fernando Lugo Méndez, President of Paraguay, is also discussed, and the excommunication of the "Army of Mary" Christian sect from Canada is also mentioned.
