Abstract

The article explores on the purposes of composing the story behind "Salem Possessed" and its implication to the social history of early Americans. It notes on the approaches that the authors of the book have used to cite the pre-existing socials and economic division within Salem Village community in Massachusetts, U.S.A. to understand the accusations of witchcraft in 1690s since it's their aim to let undergraduates begin with actual historical research. Moreover, it mentions on the several papers that the authors being made depicting to the context and purpose of the book.
