Abstract

Abstract: To augment the information retrieval process, a model is proposed to facilitate simple contextual indexing for a large scale of standard text corpora. An edge index graph model is presented, which clusters documents based on a root index and an edge index created. Intelligent information retrieval is possible with the projected system where the process of querying provides proactive help to users through a knowledge base. The query is provided with automatic phrase completion and word suggestions. A thesaurus is used to provide meaningful search of the query. This model can be utilized for document retrieval, clustering, and phrase browsing. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
