Neither Silent nor Invisible: A Comparison of Two Participative Projects Involving Older Lesbians and Gay Men in the United Kingdom.

This article reports on older lesbians and gay men in Great Britain and two projects related to increasing services and support for them. These initiatives would create positive change for sexual minorities and give them a stronger voice for having their needs met. The article discusses health and social care for older gays and notes that they face discrimination, have limited resources, are underrepresented, and face ageism. Information on inclusion, rights, sexual identity, and local lesbian and gay networks and reference groups is presented as well.
