Abstract
- The article discusses the adherence of Africans to antiretroviral therapy (ART). It states that there has been an increase in the usage of ART in Africa than in any developed countries in 2008, where mortality rates of African patients have fallen compared to the pre-ART period. However, it mentions that there is low retention of patients in ART programs, and suggests that further research is needed to identify the reasons why patients do not continue the treatment.
