Abstract

The article reports on the decision of two self-regulatory groups to consolidate insider-trading investigations. The NYSE Regulation Inc. will handle probes involving New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and NYSE Arca-listed securities while the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FIRA) will take care of shares listed on American Stock Exchange, Chicago Stock Exchange and the Nasdaq Stock Market. Before the consolidation, probes were based on where a stock traded instead of where it was listed.
