Abstract
- The article reports that China is nearing the point of no longer needing Russian technology to support its quest for advanced weapons systems. According to intelligence analysts, China's military industrial capabilities show that the country is close to independence from Russia in key technologies. These include the development of advanced fighter aircraft, air-launched weaponry, tanker and strategic transport aircraft and cruise and ballistic missiles.
