Abstract
- The article reports on a study of reforming low-octane naphtha without hydrogen on metal-oxide catalysts. It examines the reforming of naphtha using mixtures of zeolite-aluminosilicate catalysts and zeolites. It finds out that the reformed naphtha at 460°C corresponds to normal gasoline while the reformate at 500°C corresponds to commercial gasoline with octane number 92. It also shows that its hydrocarbon gas (HCG) yield is higher than those in industrial platforming units.
