Abstract: The article investigates the prevalence of transmitted drug-resistant (TDR) human immunodeficiency virus and factors associated with TDR. It also compares the virological and CD4 count response to combination antiretroviral therapy. The article provides evidence that the prevalence of TDR in antiretroviral-naive patients is in line with other European studies.
