Abstract: The article reports that Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. is trying to sell itself. Potential buyers include Bank of America Corp. and Barclays PLC. It is believed that any purchaser would want guarantees concerning loss protection from the U.S. government similar to those received by J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. when it bought out Bear Stearns Cos. No deal for Lehman appears imminent.
